Privacy Policy
Leisure Garage is a personal vehicle maintenance tool operated by David Ezuma for his own use. The only person whose data it handles is its owner. This policy describes that handling.
Data collected
With the owner's explicit consent, given through Smartcar Connect, the app retrieves from the owner's vehicle: make, model and year, odometer, fuel level and range, engine oil life, tire pressures, lock status, location, and diagnostic warning status.
How data is used
Data is used only to keep the owner's maintenance records and service reminders up to date. It is not used for advertising, profiling, insurance, or any purpose beyond personal vehicle care.
Storage and security
- Smartcar API credentials are stored as encrypted GitHub Actions secrets and on the owner's computer. They are never committed to source control or shared.
- Vehicle readings are written to the owner's private Notion workspace, which is protected by Notion's account security and encrypted in transit and at rest.
- All network traffic to Smartcar and Notion uses TLS.
Sharing
Data is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party. Smartcar and Notion act only as service providers to deliver and store the owner's own data.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept only as long as the owner wants it. Disconnecting the vehicle in the Smartcar dashboard or at my.smartcar.com ends all further access. Stored records can be deleted from Notion at any time.

Vehicle connections are provided by Smartcar, Inc. Smartcar's handling of data is described in the Smartcar End User Privacy Policy.
